What is a Packing Slip?

A packing slip is a shipping document included inside a package that lists all the items contained in that shipment. Unlike an invoice, it does not show prices — its sole purpose is to help the recipient verify what was sent against what was ordered. It is a mandatory fulfillment document for most ecommerce and wholesale operations.

How to use the Packing Slip Generator

  1. 1

🏢 Enter your company and ship-to details

Fill in your business name and address ("From"), and the recipient's full delivery address ("Ship To"). For international shipments, include the country.

  2. 2

📦 Add tracking and carrier info

Enter the carrier name (UPS, DHL, FedEx, etc.) and the tracking number. These appear prominently on the packing slip for easy scanning and customer queries.

  3. 3

➕ Add items in the shipment

List every item being shipped with its description, quantity, and unit of measure. Do NOT include prices — a packing slip is intentionally price-free.

  4. 4

    📝 Add notes if needed

Use the Notes section for any special handling instructions, return policies, or messages to the recipient (e.g. "Handle with care", "Keep refrigerated").

  5. 5

🖨️ Print or download the PDF

Download the clean, price-free PDF. Print it and place it inside or on the outside of the package.

Field Reference

Tracking # The unique tracking number from your carrier (e.g. UPS, DHL, FedEx). The recipient can use this to track their parcel in real time.
Carrier The shipping company handling the delivery. Examples: UPS, DHL, FedEx, Royal Mail, Australia Post. Helps the recipient know which carrier to contact for delivery issues.
Unit of Measure Specify the unit for each item — pcs, kg, boxes, sets, etc. Critical for bulk shipments where quantity is not obvious from the description alone.
Pack # A unique identifier for this packing slip, useful for multi-parcel shipments or when matching against a corresponding invoice.
